HOUSING CRISIS SOLUTION
Apparently this is the only possible solution. Resource scarcity is solved by regulation. Housing is a scarce resource in the long term, so proportionate measures need to be applied.
Flats and houses have become the subject of investment, financial speculation, short-term rentals. The result is soaring prices and unaffordable housing. Paying off a mortgage throughout one's working life is a phenomenon that should no longer exist in the third millennium.
If there were an obligation to sell an apartment or house to the state, an auction should follow to generate a price. The seller can then consider whether to accept the price. The auction should have one important point. Only a person who owns less than one house or flat could participate. Only in the absence of such a person can people who already own one apartment participate in the auction.
The next step should be a progressive tax on more than two properties owned by the same person.
Selling through the state will also eliminate real estate fraud.
